Join us on Shapwick Heath NNR to follow the Sweet Track Trail and discover the wonders of this ancient neolithic route and the array of habitats it passes through. A Somerset Festival of Nature event, staff and volunteers based at the entrance to the reserve will provide you with spotter sheets and set you on your way.

Start at the main entrance to Shapwick Heath NNR on Shapwick Road, a welcome tent with staff and volunteers will set you on your way. Accessibility Free parking is available at the nearby Avalon Marshes Centre where further information about the reserves is available. The reserve is a 200 yard walk up the road from the centre. The Sweet Track route itself is flat but covers some rougher terrain and is unfortunately not suitable to those with limited mobility. Shorter routes on the reserve that are more fully accessible exist and staff on the day can signpost you to these if necessary. Where
