Join Somerset Wildlife Trust Reserves Warden to discover the Aquatic Wildlife lurking in the depths of ditches and lakes across the Avalon Marshes. Frogs, toads, newts, water-beetles, dragonfly larvae, and many more fascinating aquatic creatures lay waiting to be found…
Young Wardens is a programme of activities designed for 12-17 year olds. It covers a range of practical skills useful for those interested in wildlife, conservation work and perhaps future study or employment in these areas – or just for enjoyment!
Each year there are sessions on aspects of practical land management, species surveying and identifying, understanding the heritage of our landscape and more. Individual sessions can be attended, or the programme booked as a whole to gain a certificate.
