Get ‘Hands-on-Heritage’ with the South West Heritage Trust and discover some of the fascinating history of the Avalon Marshes. A chance to see inside some of the historical reconstructions being built at the centre, along with some practical activities (themesTBC).
Young Wardens is a programme of activities designed for 12-17 year olds. It covers a range of practical skills useful for those interested in wildlife, conservation work and perhaps future study or employment in these areas – or just for enjoyment!
Each year there are sessions on aspects of practical land management, species surveying and identifying, understanding the heritage of our landscape and more. Individual sessions can be attended, or the programme booked as a whole to gain a certificate.
