Young Wardens Practical Conservation Tasks – 29th May

Practical conservation work with Natural England.  Learn to lay and repair brash and woodchip footpaths amongst other tasks, with reserve staff on Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve.

Young Wardens is a group for 12-17 year-old’s wishing to take part in practical conservation activities or work towards the completion of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Community hours.

Outdoor clothing suitable to the weather conditions essential. Young Wardens is a programme of activities designed for 12-17 year olds. Most sessions are based at the Avalon Marshes Centre, for those starting elsewhere we will email directions when you book.
