Young Wardens – Science of Steart Marshes – 9th March

Discover the Science of Steart Marshes on a trip out with staff from the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust helping to survey for invertebrates on the mudflats of the Severn Estuary. You will learn about this unique flood mitigation scheme that harnesses natural processes and has created a haven for wildlife.

Young Wardens is a group for 12-17 year-old’s wishing to take part in practical conservation activities or work towards the completion of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Community hours.

Outdoor clothing suitable to the weather conditions essential. Young Wardens is a programme of activities designed for 12-17 year olds. Most sessions are based at the Avalon Marshes Centre, for those starting elsewhere we will email directions when you book.
