Young Wardens: Starling Murmurations – 09 December

A guided walk to see the Starling Murmurations with the RSPB. A chance to learn about and witness the wonderful natural phenomena, where millions of starlings gather to roost in the reedbeds of the Avalon Marshes on winter evenings.

Young Wardens is a programme of activities designed for 12-17 year olds. It covers a range of practical skills useful for those interested in wildlife, conservation work and perhaps future study or employment in these areas – or just for enjoyment!

Each year there are sessions on aspects of practical land management, species surveying and identifying, understanding the heritage of our landscape and more. Individual sessions can be attended, or the programme booked as a whole to gain a certificate.
