Experience storytelling Saxon-style with a performance of Beowulf, the oldest story in the English language, performed by bard Lizzie Bryant.
Gather around the fire and step back into a Saxon world to experience the enduring tale of the Beowulf, hero of men and the monsters that brought him fame. It’s a tale of blood feuds and fury that’s been told for a thousand years or more.
Lizzie’s gripping performance of this epic old English poem is presented in (mostly!) modern English prose in two equal parts with an interval and a glass of local apple juice, with time for Q&As at the end.
