Join Victoria Hillman and delve into the world of wildlife photography. This full day workshop will explore how to photograph nature, from looking in hedgerows and ponds to spending time in the hides on the reserve. We will be looking for anything and everything from birds and mammals to plants and invertebrates. From where to look for and how to find subjects through to how to photograph them in their natural habitat causing minimal disturbance, we’ll explore capturing portraits, behaviours and in habitat images.
Victoria is a Wildlife Researcher, Photographer, Artist, Writer and Guide. She will be running courses at Ham Wall throughout the year on ‘Introduction to Macro Photography’ and ‘Photographing Autumn’. Discover more of her work here:

EQUIPMENT
Camera
· Variety of lenses (zoom/telephoto, macro, close-up filters) if you have them
· Tripod or monopod
· Batteries and memory cards
· Lens cleaning cloth
· Waterproof shoes and clothing for the early morning especially
· Warm clothing, layers work well as the day heats up
· Lunch/refreshments

The tour will leave promptly at the stated start time. We ask you to arrive at the Ham Wall Car Park 15 minutes before the start of the tour to register with staff. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the workshop.
ACCESSIBILTY
The workshop takes place across rough and uneven terrain, including patches of long grass unsuitable for wheels. There may also be some optional laying on the ground. There will be prolonged periods of standing and some walking involved.
