Discover the hidden world of spring dye plants and make natural dyes over the fire with artist, educator and nature based facilitator Naomi Hannam of Creative Roots.
This practical, playful, and experiential workshop is designed to spark your curiosity and kickstart your journey into natural dyeing.
Explore what colours can be obtained from common plants and kitchen scraps such as nettle, oak galls, bramble, hawthorn and onion skins, learn about non-toxic mordant techniques, forage for dye plants and learn how to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves.
At the end of the workshop, you will have your own seasonal colours swatch sheet to take home, a testament to the beauty of nature’s palette.
