Interested in helping others get active and enjoy the outdoors? Join the Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP) for Walk Leader Training at the Avalon Marshes Centre. This session is part of a national scheme and equips volunteers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead friendly, safe Health Walks in the beautiful Avalon Marshes.
During the training, you’ll learn how to plan and lead walks, welcome and support participants, and help others connect with nature while improving their health and wellbeing. You’ll also receive ongoing support and resources, and become part of a friendly volunteer community.
A typical walk commitment is around 1.5–2 hours, and you’ll usually lead at least one walk per month, depending on the programme. For more information visit www.sasp.co.uk/become-a-walk-leader-volunteer
This training is perfect for anyone who enjoys being outdoors, meeting new people, and making a positive difference in their community.
