Workshop: Story Telling

Gather in the Iron Age Roundhouse at Avalon Archaeology with Master Storyteller Michael Loader and spend the day learning new skills, building confidence, and discovering the power of stories in a truly atmospheric space.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your traditional tale‑telling techniques or explore the art of spontaneous story‑making, this unique workshop offers the perfect setting to spark your imagination.

Learn to:
– Tell traditional tales in your own words, by yourself and with others
– Create spontaneous stories with the help of objects
– Build confidence in exploring and sharing your imagination, whilst enjoying the imagination of others

Explore the skills of voice, expression, physicality and characterisation. Through games, exercises and a sense of play participants will explore the art of storytelling.

Michael has over 30 years experience as a teacher, facilitator and performer working with people in education, charity and community projects, personal development, staff training, the arts and the corporate world.
