Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve
The Hands on Heritage team are building reconstructions of ancient buildings and artefacts using traditional crafts and techniques. The Iron Age, Romano-British and Anglo-Saxon periods are all represented in this exciting project, through lime mortaring, green timber frame woodworking, pottery making and firing, tile manufacture, wood turning and carving.
