Have Your Say on Somerset’s Nature Recovery Strategy

Somerset Council has launched a public consultation on the county’s first Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). This statutory plan outlines priorities for protecting and restoring wildlife and habitats, and will help guide future decisions on land use, farming, development, and investment.

The draft strategy includes maps of key areas for nature and invites feedback from residents, landowners, farmers, businesses, environmental organisations, and community groups. Your input will help shape a long-term vision for a more nature-rich and resilient Somerset.

The consultation is open until 31 October 2025.
